to lack of funding, Children’s Committee had to interrupt work ovincial Children’s Networks (PCNs) that consisted of Child b (CWC) and children in NGO care centers.     CC    informed   the
-link the network in order    to   raise    awareness   on children’s
ing of UNCRC-children’s issues in the remote areas.

Volunteers from among the active members of Children’s Committee have been engaged in implementing this project while CC started re-establishment and strengthening of the former network in 5 provinces and 1 commune. When the project started, the members have to work closely with CC executive members related to the network clubs in order to see how to facilitate the club members.

Volunteer members have acquired skills in facilitating the network clubs, they have to work with their own club and CC executive members will assist afterwards. Each Children’s Network Club has 30 members, some the vulnerable children and some the state school students. Totally, 180 children in 5 provinces and 1 commune are benefiting from Children’s Committee Provincial Networking about raise awareness on children’s participation and expanding of UNCRC-children’s issues in their own commune.

Each member of the provincial network clubs has been supported as school stationeries such as: book, pen, pencil, bag, shoes and school uniform. Those target groups are pointed out and selected by school management committee to be the provincial child watch club member. Children’s Committee also visited their family living condition and consulted to the kids’ family to encourage the children stop to drop-out-off school. However, Children’s Committee now concerned with its own financial assistant to continue the project activities in the year of 2008 for strengthening and expending former networking.

We provide all necessary educational materials. This prevents parents having to purchase any stationary, such as crayons and scissors etc. However all children should bring an art smock, several plastic bags, 500ml of mineral water, a box of tissues and 2 dust rags on the first day of the school.

Children’s Committee would kindly like to appeal to charity institutions, friends local and international; please contribute to Cambodia poor kids in the form of educational materials as you could contribute. We don’t need your money, but we need your supports. Hopefully your generous donation will remain poor kids in school and help a part of their family living condition.
