To perform its project, Children's Committee have cooperated media agencies, Ministry of Youths Rehabilitation and Veteran Affairs, Task Force, and Child Watch Club (CWC) of Children's Committee.

The project granted the generous support from ILO/IPEC since 2005-2006. Now this project can’t run smoothly because of lacking of financial assistant to effort its project toward the benefit of vulnerable kids.

The project provided the widely benefit to the children throughout Child Watch Club monthly meeting. The monthly meeting of Children's Committee with Child Watch Club, we have played the CD to target group to understand of how children handed with child labour issue and how the children impact with these kind of job. Toward the sustainability of the project, Children's Committee also freely shared the pack of CD that consisted of Child Labour Spot to the target group in order to play it at home, so it will also benefit to their family member to understand about Child Labour Issues and our donor who are working to combat these issues.

With the worst form of child labour, Children's Committee also played spot in the cinemas to raise awareness to adults/youths to get understanding of child labour issues. Throughout our spot we hope that adults/youths will realize the bad situation of the most vulnerable children and stop to take benefit from children when those kids are working at their house as a child labour.

Presently, Children's Committee has keep on going to run this project with the minor financial assistant sourced from CC’s member contribution box and various mini events objective to eliminated the worst form of child labor occasionally support from Save the Children Australia, Church World Service, World Vision Cambodia and Unilever company. We hope that there will have generous donors who interested in these projects and minded to prevent children labour issues in the future.

Awareness Raising on UN-CRC Programme

By understanding Children in the remote areas non understanding well with their right, Children's Committee is strengthening and expanding former networking in six provinces (Takeo, Siem Reap, Pursat, Sihanuk Ville, Poit Pét, and Bonteay Mean Chey). Due to lack of funding, Children’s Committee had to interrupt work with Children’s Networks that consisted of Child Watch Club (CWC) and children in NGO care centers.

CC will inform the members to re-link the network in order to raise awareness on children’s participation and expanding of UNCRC-children’s issues in the remote areas.

Volunteers from among the active members of Children's Committee will be engaged in implementing this project when CC starts re-establishment and strengthening of the former network in 6 provinces. When the project starts, the members have to work closely with CC executive members related to the network clubs in order to see how to facilitate the club members. After the volunteer members have acquired skills in facilitating the network clubs, they have to work with their own club and CC executive members will assist afterwards.

Children's Committee will continuous and expand the project by provide opportunities to school children to participate the project. We also support those children in the form of school stationeries.

Publishing newspaper for children and youths called “My News”

“My News” is a newspaper which aims to convey the children opinion socially. UN-CRC issues will widely distribution to publish, libraries at school, NGOs partner, and children in the most vulnerable communities.

“My News” is a newspaper which is published by Children's Committee. Human resources to produce the newspaper are the children aged 16 to 20 years old. 3 children who are the CC’s child watch club and 2 adults who are the CC’s member granted the training skill from Save the Children Norway how to design and publish the newspaper.

To promote children participation, Children's Committee will provide opportunity to next generation learn how to producer the newspaper with, how to edit the text, how to writing report, how to design and layout, and how to take a photograph. After finish the training course, there will be directly practice by monitoring from the former member.

Awareness Raising on CSEC Project

Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children is the most important thing we’re together mentioning on. It will suddenly effect to the remote children who have never been educated/known. Remote children are easy exploit by the rich or remote human broker. Mover over, abandon home town non-consider to earn money to effort their family; the children will absolutely face up with that issues.

To play the important role and raise awareness to children, we will advocate CSEC by performing activities through cartoon to the most vulnerable communities telling them the way of being cheated.

Children's Committee will use its human resource by provide the change to Child Watch Club in each provincial network to practice and help their commune. They will be provided the allowance as voluntary basic when they go to the communities as well school activities.

To conduct the project smoothly, Children's Committee will cooperate with authorities, relevant NGOs, Child Watch Club, and MDSAVY.

KidsHouse Project

KidsHouse is a project under the supervision of Children’s Committee since 1999. Unfortunately, Children’s Committee had been problem with financial assistant to run the project KidsHouse Project had been interrupted a while. In the presently Children’s Committee re-open this project in order to provide good scopes to the most vulnerable children to benefit from this project in the remote areas. Now KidsHouse Center is planning to build us as soon as possible to fulfill the children’s need.
KidsHouse makes use of the basic fact that intellectual capabilities of children develop more rapidly from birth to age of 18 than at any other period in their lives. Young children at these ages can absorb all information without inhibition. Everything that occurs during this early period has a profound effect in their lives. This means that an educational environment is extremely important for the development of the children's complete personality.

KidsHouse provides an effective and safe environment for young children to enhance their academic skills and develop their social and emotional abilities.

Moreover, it will provide the medium of instruction related the basic of Khmer literacy so that children can learn it naturally in a fun way through daily activities.

KidsHouse will not accept children to stay but we will provide them with meals, education, vocational training after they are free from school. The goal of KidsHouse is to provide children with a unique experience, vocational training, life skill, and education that will help them obtain strong skills to be successful among their community.
